It's nice to meet you, I'm Julie Smith and I'm so happy you're here.

I am currently a corporate marketer, but I have come to the realization that I am more accurately, an incurable entrepreneur. I started this blog as a creative outlet, a place to share all the things I love, along with what I hope are the relatable and often times, ridiculous experiences of a modern fifty-something woman.

She Wears a Dress is the most authentic representation of who I am. I've decided to fully embrace the next chapter and create my own personal coming of age story. I'm planning on magical thinking, jumping in, stepping outside my comfort zone and basically doing whatever I want.

 

Filled with a mix of original content, curated posts and conversation, I hope to inspire women to rediscover who and what they want to be and how to navigate middle age with style and a sense of humor.
