When I first started writing She Wears A Dress, I loved the idea that it would challenge me to go out and try new things so that I could have something interesting to write about. At first I did just that– took a few little day trips to some of my favorite spots, read new books, watched new documentaries, tried new beauty products, you get the idea. Funny thing is, although I was thoroughly enjoying all of these new adventures, I wasn’t actually writing about them, as is evidenced by my less than regular blog posts! This morning however, I received a text from a close friend asking simply “anything new?” I thought about it for a second and you know what, YES!
In this past week alone, I spent a few days in Manhattan, had an amazing lunch at Cafe Gitane followed by dessert at the Little Cupcake Bakeshop. Enjoyed the Rockefeller Center tree lighting, flew back in time to attend Art Basel in Miami Beach and tomorrow I’m taking a 3-hour intensive workshop learning how to make the quintessential French treat–Croissants. If that’s not adventurous, I don’t know what is. The best part is, it has inspired me to start posting about these everyday adventures again. I feel very fortunate to be able to have these opportunities and I hope I can inspire a few of you to try some new things or at least enjoy the experience through my own. Let’s have some fun!
